  5. You look awesome. Thanks for sharing. I adore this and am actually doing this with a spooky twist and being Bambi's mom by (spoiler alert) adding an arrow through my chest. One question, though. What are you spraying the brushes with? Is that MAC brush cleaner?

    1. THANKS SO MUCH and I LOVE your costume idea! I'm using MAC Fix Plus - its a hydrating mist which has a bit of glycerin in it - it provides a slip to the makeup so it applies smoother. Its great as a finishing spray or to sheer out foundations. It will give you a slightly more dewy look as a finishing spray!

Do you think this would work for someone who has 'hooded' eyelids?

    1. Yes! you just ignore your natural eye shape to create the exaggerated eye shape. You can draw the crease above your natural crease to get that look :)

Thanks Shannon. Would you happen to have a tutorial like this for a cat look. I know cats are kind of boring for Halloween but my daughter wants to be one so I was hoping to find something 'cool' to make it stand out from the standard dots and whiskers. Thanks for responding so quickly!

It's a cute idea, but it's a bit too feline, maybe. Also, why are you doing squirrel hands in the bottom picture? Deer don't do that.

I love this! One question though. For the brown parts, could you use regular bronzer or just brown halloween face makeup? If so, what would be the difference in how it looked?

  31. Hi there! So glad I found your site. I applied the makeup yesterday for my halloween day costume and it came out great! Not quite as perfect as your but for a first-timer not bad. It took me about two hours though...I'm sure it doesn't take you that long. LOL. Luckily my halloween night time make up was much easier.

Hi! I love your look here! But I was wondering since the make up is too expensive for me is there an alternative product I can you (like costume makeup of drugstore makeup)? That would help out a lot! thanks!

  36. How do you get the "antlers" to stay in place- mine keep falling after I put them in the headband, even if i try and pin them. HELP!
